The goods:
To record: To record "keyo' do your macroee stuff here" q
To use: @"key"
The blah, blah, blah:
Okay, so I am ready to create a new macro on vim, and then I realized that I forgot how to make one. :(
I found this entry on how to do it. The best part about it is that the author forgot to talk about how you turn off the recording, so then the possibility of recursively calling the macro while you are recording was brought up. Nothing makes you smile like a random encounter with recursion!

Oh, and while I was typing this entry, I was thinking how I wanted to navigate it with Vim key strokes. Thank god two other people missed vim on their browsers. I found Vimpetor, which promises a great Vim experience on firefox, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4891 and I found jV, which makes a much more qualified claim, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8529. I am going to try them both and then, if I don't forget or get derailed, write back about the experience.
